An exploration of the Sacral Chakra through Vinyasa, Kundalini & Yin Yoga

The sacral chakra—Svadhisthana—is the seat of your pleasure, creativity, sensuality, and emotional expression. 

Located just below the navel, it’s connected to your ability to feel, to enjoy, and to express yourself fully.

When this chakra is in balance, you feel vibrant, inspired, emotionally open, and connected to your body’s innate pleasure. But when it’s blocked or depleted, you may experience:

• A sense of flatness, numbness, or lack of inspiration

• Difficulty expressing emotions or accessing joy

• Feeling creatively stuck or disconnected from desire

• Low energy, low libido, or shame around sensuality

• Overwhelm from unprocessed emotions

Why this matters for the nervous system:
The sacral chakra is intimately connected to your body’s capacity for emotional regulation and pleasure response. Chronic stress or emotional suppression can lock the body in defensive tension, dulling sensation and joy. Practices that awaken the sacral chakra help soften these defences, allowing the nervous system to shift into states where pleasure, connection, and creativity can flourish.

What we’ll do:
In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll explore:

• Vinyasa sequences to unlock fluidity and sensual movement

• Kundalini practices to awaken creative and emotional energy

• Yin Yoga to release deep tension and create space for feeling

• Breathwork, visualisation, chanting and meditation to expand your capacity for pleasure and presence

You’ll leave feeling:

• More connected to your body and its natural rhythms

• Emotionally lighter, freer, and more expressive

• Inspired, creative, and open to joy

• Sensually alive and comfortable in your own skin
